Peace Walker Weapons & Equipment

The useful question is not just which weapons exist, but what to develop first for story missions, boss preparation, stealth, support and co-op progression.

What to develop first

Prioritize a dependable primary weapon, a quiet or non-lethal option for stealth objectives, and support items that help you survive longer missions. Development follows Mother Base staffing and materials, so the best next upgrade depends on your current progression rather than one universal list.

Loadout paths

GoalBuild direction
Story missionsReliable damage, recovery and enough ammunition for the route
StealthNon-lethal tools, tranquilization and a quiet approach
BossesHeavy damage, resupply planning and equipment matched to the target
Co-op supportA balanced loadout that covers damage, recovery or team utility
Late progressionInvest in higher development levels after staff and materials catch up

Lethal vs non-lethal

Keep both paths available. Lethal tools can shorten direct encounters; non-lethal tools are useful when the objective, rank or recruitment plan rewards restraint. Check the mission objective first instead of assuming one style is always optimal.

Mother Base R&D loop

Mission rewards and Fulton-recruited staff feed Mother Base departments, which in turn unlock further development. If a weapon is unavailable, inspect staff roles, materials and mission progression before treating it as a missing item.

Boss and co-op preparation

Boss loadouts should be built around the encounter and your current development level. In CO-OPS, coordinate roles across 2–4 players; VERSUS OPS is a separate competitive mode that supports up to 6.

Exact weapon trees, development requirements and 2026-version changes are added only when confirmed against the released Master Collection build. This hub intentionally avoids an unverified item dump.
